Alex Rolland

Alex is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from New Jersey. At the age of eight, he began taking piano lessons with a focus on classical music. As he progressed, Alex fell in love with the process of songwriting, composing his first classical piece at the age of 14. Inspired by the work and poetic lyricism of Coldplay and Gregory Alan Isakov, Alex shifted his focus toward the guitar when he was 15 and has been writing music in the indie folk genre since. In college, he became captivated by music production, eventually learning to produce for himself and others. With this tool in hand, he realized he could be his own band and set out to learn more instruments—including ukulele, bass, drums, banjo, and harmonica. Alex frequently performs in the New Jersey, New York, and Boston areas, playing with a variety of artists, including Jake and Shelby, among others. His debut single, “Aberdeen,” was released on June 10th.
